Horse Power Barley Grain Feed
This product is based on the principle of cooking barley under high pressure with steam and then drying it by passing it through a crushing machine. This process prevents the barley from becoming dusty, unlike crushing, grinding, and dry crushing. This process, which is carried out to increase the digestibility of the starch in the barley, is achieved by gelatinizing the starch. In this way, the starch expands and breaks down. The change in the structure of the starch increases its digestibility to over 95%. Barley Grain Feed is more palatable and fragrant than unprocessed barley. In addition, it helps to bind and eliminate toxins with the added toxin binder, while other active ingredients increase the number of beneficial bacteria in the intestines.
When is it used?
It is used in the feeding of mares, stallions, racehorses, foals, and riding horses.
Usage recommendation
• It can be given as a supplementary food at a rate of 0.4 – 0.5 kg per 100 kg of body weight.
• It is recommended to give it in 2-3 divided meals.
• It should always be provided with hay or meadow grass.
• Fresh water should always be available.
