General Information About Fethiye Bays

Ölüdeniz Beach (Belcekız Beach)

Ölüdeniz Beach, also known as Belcekız Beach, is the busiest beach in Ölüdeniz. It's approximately 3 kilometers long. As it's a public beach, entry is free. The sea is beautiful but deep and wavy. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, but you can also bring your own. There are also a few cafes operating on the beach. The beach is quieter and more enjoyable in the early morning hours. Ölüdeniz Lagoon (Ölüdeniz Nature Park Beach)

The furthest end of Ölüdeniz Beach lies within the boundaries of the Nature Park. Here, as you can see in the photograph, it forms "Kumburnu," closing off the lagoon. In other words, the headland has a coastline both within the lagoon and on the sea side. The sea here is deep blue, clear, and much shallower and calmer than at Belcekız.  Location Click here. Kidrak Bay

Knight Island

The island directly opposite Çalış Beach is Şövalye Island, also known as Fethiye Island. It gets its name from the fact that the Knights of Rhodes lived there in the 15th century. The island mainly consists of hotels, beaches, and restaurants. Location Click here. Number 6 on the map.

Kuleli Bay

This is one of Fethiye's relatively quiet and nature-filled bays. The beach is predominantly a mix of pebbles and sand. The sea is calm and clear. Location Click here. Number 7 on the map.

Dark Beaded

Small Beaded Dark

Little Boncuklu Bay, which is adjacent to Boncuklu Bay Help Beach and Yacht ClubIt hosts ‘a’. Here you can find everything you're looking for, from beach volleyball to happy hours to watch the sunset. Like Boncuklu, it has a pebble beach. The sea is clear and calm. Entrance is free. Little Haystack Cove

Küçük Samanlık Bay is a cove with a crystal-clear, aquarium-like sea. It's a popular spot for boats to anchor. The sea is calm, sandy, and shallow. Location Click here. Number 11 on the map.

Great Haystack Cove

This is a public beach. The beach is a mix of pebbles and sand. The sea is clear, calm, and shallow. The seabed is rocky. There's a slide for children, a wooden pier, and gazebos on the beach. The back of the bay is wooded and has picnic areas. Location Click here. Number 12 on the map.

Hillside Beach Club in Fethiye, Serenity Beach

This beach is connected to Hillside but has no road access. However, you can approach by boat from the sea. Otherwise, you have to pass through Hillside itself. It's a quiet, peaceful beach. The sea is crystal clear, pebbly, and gets deep quickly. There's no loud music, and nobody even speaks loudly. Because there are a limited number of sunbeds and umbrellas, it never gets crowded. Faralya Bays and Beaches

Butterfly Valley Beach

Named after the tiger butterfly, which is found here among at least 80 species of butterflies, Butterfly Valley is a landmark of Fethiye, boasting an incredibly beautiful and azure landscape and sea. A first-degree protected area since 1995, the valley is completely closed to concrete construction. Only tent camps and wooden houses are permitted. Pumpkin Bay

The second favorite stop in the Faralya region is Kabak Bay Beach. It has a pebble beach and a wavy sea. The water is clear and blue. The bay can be reached by sea from Ölüdeniz. Location Click here. Number 16 on the map.

Paradise Bay

Although overshadowed by Butterfly Valley and Kabak Bay, Paradise Bay lives up to its name as Fethiye's hidden paradise. It boasts a turquoise sea and a pristine beach of mixed sand and pebbles. Kayaköy Bays and Beaches

Gemile Beach

Gemile Beach, located directly opposite Gemile Island, has a pebbly shore and clean water. Gemile Island and its surroundings, where settlements existed between the 5th and 13th centuries AD, are an archaeological site, therefore museum passes are accepted. Turunç Pınarı Bay & Yazz Collective

Turunç Pınarı Bay, an isolated cove covered with pine trees, is one of those coves that can only be reached by sea and has no road connection. The water is deep and calm. Location Click here. Number 19 on the map.

Bottleneck

Darboğaz Bay is one of the bays in Fethiye that is not connected by road. The sea is beautiful, and the rocky area is like a shallow pool. Location Click here. Number 20 on the map.

Aquarium Bay

Cold Water Bay

There's a freshwater spring hidden among the rocks in Soğuk Su Bay, which makes the water ice-cold. At the end of the bay, there's a small beach with a pier. Camel Beach
