Program Outline:

1. Welcome and Preparation:

   • We are welcoming participants with a special reception at Kadost Göreme Facilities.
   • We're kicking off the event with team-building and get-together activities.

2. Introduction to Orienteering:

   • A brief introductory presentation is given about the basic rules of orienteering and how it is played.
   • Participants are given maps and orienteering equipment.

3. Finding Targets:

   • The 15 targets are strategically placed within the Valley of Swords.
   • Participants compete individually or in groups to find the targets in the order indicated on the map.

4. Additional Applications:

   • Participants are given additional tasks; these tasks may include product presentations, teamwork, or individual challenges.
   • In achieving our goals, we offer our customers the opportunity to showcase our products.

5. Electronic Monitoring and Termination:

   • Participants' progress is tracked electronically.
   • Return to the finish line using a compass or electronic ring that shows the places visited.
   • At the end, we celebrate achievements and provide opportunities to share experiences.

ORIENTEERING IN THE VALLEYS OF CAPPADOCIA 120 MIN. - (Treasure Hunt)

WHAT IS ORIENTEERING? Orienteering is a sport that aims to find previously hidden points in the terrain as quickly as possible, using a map and compass. The points are marked on a terrain map provided to participants. Participants try to find these points one by one by looking at the map. Upon reaching a marked location, the participant proves they have found it by marking the compass paper or electronic ring at that point. Participants who visit around 15 marked locations in the shortest time gain an advantage.

ORIENTEERING AT CORPORATE EVENTS? Orienteering is also known as a treasure hunt in corporate events. It provides participants with many benefits such as teamwork, effective time management, completing assigned tasks, using time correctly, following task sequences, team decision-making, and navigation in challenging terrain.

What do we do during the orienteering event in Cappadocia?

1. Cappadocia Orienteering Equipment and Preparation:

   • Preparing the necessary orienteering equipment for the participants: maps, compass, orienteering markers (checkpoints), written instructions, etc.
   • We keep a second set of equipment as a backup for safety purposes.
   • We remind participants to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. (Participants should be prepared for windy or rainy weather conditions.)

2. Planning of Orienteering Routes in Cappadocia:

   • For a two-hour event, we're using the Cappadocia Orienteering Course located in Göreme. An average orienteering race is approximately 5-10 km long, but we can adjust the length depending on the participants' experience level and speed.
   • Placing checkpoints (markers) along the route: We are placing numbered targets along our orienteering course.

3. Participant Information for Orienteering in Cappadocia:

   • We explain the basic rules of orienteering and how to do it to the participants.
   • We teach you how to use the equipment and how to read the compass.
   • We highlight safety precautions and provide emergency contact information.

4. Cappadocia Orienteering Event:

   • We are distributing maps and checkpoint lists to the participants.
   • We designate a meeting point at the starting point and give participants instructions on how to follow the route.
   • We help them find and mark the checkpoints.
   • We guide participants to a final point where they must return within a specific time frame.

5. Orienteering Event Results and Awards:

   • We record the times participants take when they complete the activity and announce the results.
   • Give awards or certificates to successful participants.

6. Feedback and Reviews:

   • We collect feedback from participants about the event and share it with the company and the participants.
