CAPPADOCIA JEEP SAFARI TOURS (3 Days) 2 Nights

*DAY 1

*Our jeep safari tour, starting from Kadost Göreme facilities, passes through the Kılıçlar Valley via the dirt roads of the Kılıçlar Valley.

*Our jeep safari tour, which travels along the dirt roads of Sword Valley, goes to the eastern slope of Love Valley.

*We travel by jeeps from the east side of the Valley of Love towards Uçhisar town. We take a break when we reach the panoramic area called Potuk Cape.

-About Potukburnu: Potukburnu is located on the eastern slope of the Valley of Love and is a central hill overlooking many of the Göreme Valleys and the hot air balloon take-off areas. Kılıçlar Valley, Güllü Valley, Kızılçukur, Aktepe, Çavuşin Town and many other areas can be easily seen from this hill. It is one of the most popular rest stops for jeep safari tours.

*After a jeep safari stop at Potuk Cape, our jeeps pass through the Uçhisar Cevizli area to the western part of Love Valley. Here, the jeeps descend along the trails to the panoramic viewpoint overlooking Love Valley. The Love Valley panorama offers a panoramic view of the valley from above. At sunset, Love Valley presents a magnificent sight.

-About Love Valley: Love Valley is also known as Bağlıdere Valley. This 3.5 km long valley starts in Uçhisar town and ends in Göreme. The valley is a canyon formed by erosion over millions of years. In the Göreme section of the valley, you'll find the fairy chimneys of Love Valley. Vehicles are not allowed inside the valley. Our Jeep Safari tours utilize both the right and left slopes of the Love Valley canyon. Love Valley takes on a magnificent appearance at sunset.

*Our Cappadocia Jeep safari tour continues to the White Valley after the Valley of Love. The White Valley is white in color due to the limestone in its soil.  

*Our jeeps will return to the starting point of Güllü Valley after visiting Ak Valley. Güllü Valley is an area where hot air balloons take off and land in the mornings. Güllü Valley contains caves eroded by rainwater, and the most beautiful examples of badlands natural formations can be found in this valley.

*Our jeep safari tour continues from Güllü Valley through Kılıçlar Valley. Kılıçlar Valley gets its name from the sharp, sword-like fairy chimneys. Within Kılıçlar Valley lies the remains of a historical village dating back to the 6th or 7th century. Some of these ruins include the Kızlar Monastery, dating from the 9th century. There are also many dovecotes within the valley.

*Our jeep safari tour continues towards Ortahisar. Our jeeps visit the Kızılçukur Valley in Ortahisar, where we take a break for photos and videos. The Kızılçukur Valley gets its red color from the oxidation of iron in its soil. Starting from the lower part of Aktepe, the Kızılçukur Valley takes on a red color at sunrise and sunset.

*After visiting Kızılçukur Valley, our jeep safari tour continues to Ortahisar Castle. Ortahisar Castle is a historical watchtower and one of the largest rock formations in the region. Climbing to the top of Ortahisar Castle is prohibited for safety reasons, but we will take a photo break with a magnificent view of the castle.

*Our jeep safari tour starts with a panoramic visit to Ortahisar Castle and then continues to Üzengi Valley. Üzengi Valley is a lush green canyon through which a long stream flows. Our jeep safari tour continues along the stream through Üzengi Valley until the Ürgüp-Mustafapaşa road.

*After visiting Üzengi Valley, our tour continues to Devrent (Dream Valley).

-About Devrent Valley (Dream Valley): It is a place where the most interesting and fantastic fairy chimneys of Cappadocia are located. It got its name Dream Valley because the fairy chimneys here mostly resemble animal and human shapes.

*Lunch: We'll have a break at the buffet restaurant for lunch. Drinks with meals are paid for by the visitors.

*After lunch, we will visit the Paşabağ and Zelve archaeological sites.

-Paşabağ Valley, also known as the Valley of Monks, is one of the most characteristic places in Cappadocia. Important churches are also located in Paşabağ Valley. According to legend, in ancient times this valley was known as a place where monks retreated for solitude. However, when you set foot in Paşabağ Valley, you realize this is not just a legend. Because it is so quiet and peaceful that you understand why the monks chose Paşabağ Valley as their retreat. This valley is also known as the place where Saint Simeon retreated for approximately 15 years.

*Our jeep tour then continues with a visit to the giant rock valley where Australian sculptor Andrew Rogers, known for his "Time and Space" artwork, created the "Stone Whisperer" piece.

-Time and Space Geoglyph Park (Whispering Rocks): Located approximately 3 km southwest of Avanos, just to the right of the Nevşehir road, this park features a total of 13 colossal structures. These structures are made from massive rocks. The monolithic basalt columns used to create the stone sculptures weigh 30 tons each, and the total amount of stone used reaches 11,000 tons. This geoglyph park, named "Time and Space," was started in 2007 and completed in 2011. Inspired by Anatolian figures, the sculptures, created by Australian sculptor Andrew Rogers, known as "The Man Who Whispers to the Universe and Stones," await discovery in Cappadocia with their captivating appearance.

*Go to the campsite and set up camp. Or go to the hotel. Rest.

*Camping area: Güllü Valley. 

*Day 2

*Watching hot air balloon takeoffs. Hot air balloon tour for those who wish to participate. (Hot air balloon tour is not included in the price.)

*Breakfast at the campsite. (Breakfast at the hotel for those staying at the hotel) Departure by jeep. 

*Visit to Pancarlık Valley via Ortahisar.

*Pass through the Pancarlık Valley to Mustafapaşa Town.

-Information about Mustafapaşa Town:  Mustafapaşa, one of the most unique settlements in Cappadocia, is located 6 km from Ürgüp and 25 km from Nevşehir. Mustafapaşa Village, formerly known as Sinasos, is an old Greek village. With its historic mansions, Gomeda Valley, and unique natural landscape, Mustafapaşa is a must-see in Cappadocia. Until the 1924 population exchange, Mustafapaşa was a village inhabited by Orthodox Greeks with nearly 700 stone mansions. Following the exchange, the villagers were sent to Greece and replaced by a Turkish population. (You can find detailed information about Mustafapaşa in the Frequently Asked Questions section.)

*Visiting Soğanlı Archaeological Site via Ayvalı Town, passing through Cemil, Taşkınpaşa, Şahinefendi, Derbent, and Güzelöz.

-Information about the Soganli Archaeological Site:  Located in the Kayseri-Niğde-Nevşehir triangle, Soğanlı Village is 15 km from the Yeşilhisar district center, situated in a valley where rock churches and caves are intertwined with modern houses. The Soğanlı archaeological site has been used as a settlement since the Roman period. The rock dwellings on the valley slopes were used as cemeteries by the Romans and as churches by the Byzantines. From the 4th century AD onwards, Soğanlı became one of the centers of Christianity in Cappadocia and maintained its importance in the 7th and 8th centuries. The wall frescoes in the churches reflect the 10th-12th centuries in terms of style. *Reach Sultansazlığı National Park via the historical village of Akköy.

-Information about Sultansazlığı: Named after its use as a hunting ground by sultans during the Ottoman Empire, Sultansazlığı is located in the middle of a closed water catchment basin formed by the rise of Mount Erciyes, a volcanic mountain during geological periods, between the districts of Develi, Yahyalı, and Yeşilhisar. Sultan Murad IV stayed here for more than three months during his Revan Campaign. During his stay, a path was opened through Yay Gölü to provide food for the animals, allowing access to the reedbeds. It was named Sultansazlığı in recognition of its service to the Ottoman Army. Sultansazlığı is one of the most important wetlands in our country due to its unique combination of freshwater and saltwater ecosystems within a steppe ecosystem, its rich biodiversity within the Central Anatolian steppe ecosystem, and the intersection of two main bird migration routes used by migratory birds between Africa and Europe.

*Camping in Sultansazlığı: Setting up tents. Preparing dinner at the camp. Dinner and campfire. Rest.

*Day 3

*Breakfast at the camp.

*Set off on a jeep safari, going around Yay Lake and reaching Çöl Lake.

-Information about Yay Lake: Yay Lake is located in Kayseri province of Türkiye. It is situated in a volcanic closed basin south of Mount Erciyes, between the towns of Develi, Yahyalı, Yeşilhisar, and İncesu, and is known as Sultan Sazlığı-Yay Gölü (Sultan Reedbed-Yay Lake). Mount Erciyes plays a significant role in the lake's formation. The volcanic mass rises in the middle of a north-sloping area, creating a closed basin with no outflow of water in the southern parts. The lake is located within the inner parts of the Sultan Sazlığı, an area covering 319,000 hectares.

*We're taking a photo break at the desert lake. 

-Information about Çöl Gölü (Desert Lake): Çöl Gölü is located in İncesu, Kayseri, and covers an area of 2,450 hectares. Previously, it was a region used as a summer pasture by the people who grazed their animals on Mount Erciyes and migrated to the highlands, descending during the winter months. 

*After visiting the Desert Lake, we will travel by jeep towards Başdere and Akköy. We will reach Göreme via Karlık Village and end our tour here.
