Stunt and Action Acting – About Us
Stunt and Action Acting Academy is a training and consulting academy offering action acting, stunt, equestrian, combat, and physical performance training for actors who want to participate in film, television, digital platforms, advertising, theater, and stage projects.
The primary goal of our academy is not only to train stunt performers; it is also to cultivate versatile actors who can maintain their character and acting performance in action scenes by developing the physical and technical skills they may need in front of the camera.
We bring together different disciplines that actors, especially those working in historical, war, period, action, and adventure productions, may need, from horsemanship and swordsmanship to combat choreography and on-camera action acting, all within the same training system.
Acting-Focused Equestrian Training
We organize training sessions for actors to help them perform more comfortably, naturally, and with better control on horseback during film and television shoots.
The training sessions cover topics such as communication with horses, basic horsemanship, correct posture and movement on horseback, costumed horseback riding, horseback riding in front of cameras, and adaptation to stage choreography.
The goal is not just to teach how to ride a horse, but to ensure the actor can maintain their character and on-camera performance even while on horseback.
Equestrian Performance Training
We offer performance training for equestrian scenes needed in historical productions, war films, period dramas, and action projects.
We are working on enabling the actors to adapt to the scene, camera angles, other actors, and the prepared choreography while on horseback.
Stage Performance with Sword, Bow and Arrow, and Axe
We provide acting and performance training on stage props such as swords, shields, bows and arrows, axes, and similar equipment that actors can use in historical and period productions.
The training focuses not only on the actor's ability to use the equipment, but also on how to carry and move appropriately for the character, and how to adapt to the choreography prepared in front of the camera.
These exercises are conducted not for the purpose of actual combat, but for controlled acting and stage performance.
Stage Fighting and Fight Choreography
We conduct acting and choreography workshops to ensure fight scenes in films and television productions look realistic on camera.
Actors receive training in areas such as movement, distance, timing, partner chemistry, camera angles, reaction time, and character performance.
The goal isn't to engage in a real fight, but to convincingly portray a controlled and pre-choreographed action scene in front of the camera.
Battle Choreography Training
We provide choreography training specifically for battle scenes used in historical films, period dramas, and large-scale productions.
In both individual and group fight scenes, work is done on coordinating the movements of the actors and performance teams.
Battle choreography training covers topics such as actor coordination, timing, stage design, adaptation to camera angles, coordination of mounted and foot performances, use of stage equipment, and character continuity.
Fall, Roll, and Physical Performance Training
The actors practice controlled falls, rolls, landings, movement continuity, and basic physical performance exercises that they may need in action scenes.
Training sessions are conducted in controlled training environments tailored to the player's level, with a focus on safety.
Climbing and Mobility Training
Training sessions are organized to integrate physical skills such as climbing and obstacle course maneuvering, which may be needed in action scenes, into acting and stage choreography.
The goal is not only for the actor to perform physical movement, but also to maintain awareness of the camera and the character during the movement.
Rope and Controlled Height Performances
Basic performance exercises are conducted for controlled rope and height scenes used in film and television projects.
These trainings are based on professional safety equipment, a suitable training environment, and expert supervision. The aim is for actors to become familiar with the working principles of such scenes they may encounter in a production environment and to adapt to the choreography.
On-Camera Action Acting
One of the most important areas of training at our academy is on-camera action acting.
For an actor, being able to ride a horse, wield a sword, or execute a fight choreography is not enough on its own.
The actor must be able to maintain their character, facial expressions, reactions, emotional performance, and the dramatic structure of the scene during the action.
Therefore, we directly integrate physical performance training with acting and on-camera performance.
Action and Combat Scene Consulting
Stunt and Action Acting Academy offers not only training services but also consultancy on action and fight scenes for films, television series, commercials, theatre, and other productions.
In line with the project's script and scene requirements, we work with the production teams on pre-shooting preparation of the actors, planning of action and fight scenes, creation of fight and battle choreography, planning of equestrian scenes, period movement techniques, and rehearsal processes.
